Week of December 19

Upcoming Events


  • Chanukah program on Wed from 2;30-3:30 ( 2:30-3:00 Grades 3-6 with Bat Ami girls and 3:00-3:30 presentations from Grades 1-6)
  • Faculty meeting Tuesday Dec. 20th from 4:00-4:45
  • Reminder Wed is a regular day for the Elementary school
Important Items
  1. Please set up a individual meeting with me at least once every other week
  2. I will continue to do pop ins and after Winter Break will start scheduling formal observations 
  3. Please make sure we are watching our students while walking on line and at recess

I want to wish you all a Happy Chanukah and enjoyable break

Food For Thought

I would like to do this "Food For Thought" weekly.
The idea would be to post links to interesting articles/ blog posts that push us a bit out of our comfort zone. I myself may not agree with all of them but I think at least having a conversation about certain things and starting a dialogue is very important.

Today's Notes 12-15

SHARING SUCCESS

Yesterday our first graders skyped with a Day School in Jacksonville Florida. They also do the Tal Am program and they shared songs and stories.

Thank you to Morah Katz and the teachers in Jacksonville for making this all possible.

Week of Dec 12

Sharing Success

I wanted to share some success that I have seen over the past few weeks. This is what I saw I know many good things are happening in many of the classes.

Kitah Alef- Our first grade will be skyping with the Jewish Day School in Jacksonville this week about Chanukah

Kitah Bet- Please look at the Kitah Bet projects where they compared inventions from the time of Adam to modern day inventions

Kitah Gimmel- walk into Third grade almost any day and you will find Morah Daphna doing some type of creative lesson or game with her class

Kitah Daled- Morah Kugielsky arranged for Cantor Samberg to come in and do an Erev Shabbat program with her class last week

Kitah Hay- Skyped with a school in Denver about Chanukah

Kitah Vav- Morah Hemda's class did a joint progra mwith Kittah Gimmel about Mishalim
